Everything in the entire home is built using materials without any harmful elements, including but not limited to PVC, VOC compounds, synthetic paints, varnishes.  The wood used is also certified environmentally sound. They strived to use local materials throughout the design including the stone wall being covered with volcanic lapilli.  Completely running off solar power to heat water and provide all electricity, this home is putting off zero CO2 emissions.
